With 22 large lochs, within an hour’s drive of 50% of Scotland’s population and 4 million visitors each year, Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park is one of the most cherished landscapes in Scotland - looking after it is a privilege. We are seeking a Director of Conservation & Visitor Operations who will bring excellent leadership, direction, vision and inspiration to the National Park Conservation & Visitor Operations service.
You will be responsible for the realisation of some of our key strategic initiatives including Your Park, Wild Park and our Outdoor Recreation Plan, while also ensuring the delivery of a skilled, engaged and efficient Ranger Service. You will also play a significant role in working with our partners to achieve our National Park Partnership Plan. You will contribute to innovative collaborative work with national and local partners and ensure an effective contribution by the National Park to Scottish Government outcomes.
To be successful in this role, you will combine high level strategic thinking with operational excellence. Degree qualified in a related discipline (or equivalent experience) you will possess excellent negotiation and communications skills along with experience of directing, inspiring and leading diverse teams of staff and developing strategic creative approaches to visitor Operations and Conservation issues to support the delivery of strategic objectives and national outcomes.
