We’re looking for a Forward Planning Manager to join our Planning & Rural Development Service here at the National Park. This is an exciting time to join us with our innovative Proposed Local Development Plan soon to be published, setting out an exciting Vision for the future of the Park on the back of the continued success of our LIVE Park campaign. There are also a range of other projects underway that are helping to improve our built heritage – for example our Built Heritage Repair Grant Scheme - and our work to support community organisations such as the Community Partnership.
You will be responsible for overseeing the Forward Planning Team, which includes Policy and Built Environment planners and our Community Development staff As the role involves line management, we need you to have excellent leadership, people, communication and organisational skills.
Degree qualified in Planning or similar, you will have a proven track record in a planning environment. As someone who has strong policy and advocacy skills who demonstrates sound independent judgement you will understand how to engage with local communities, partner orgnisations as well as the development sector.
